About Desi
The author of this blog is Ms Desi Zavatta Musolino, she is an Italian young woman, born in 1980 in a small town in province of Bologna.
Desi is a curious, sensitive and creative young woman.
She has a strong passion for travels, photography, writing, scrapbooking, singing, cooking, theatre and deeply loves animals.
She worked for several years into the field of commerce, as cashier, saleswoman and co-owner of a fruits and vegetables shop.
Suddenly, when her boyfriend was moved to another region with his job, she ended up staying at home alone, praying for his coming back, but without really knowing if it was possible for him to work again in Bologna.
That’s how Desi started to look for work-at-home jobs, to have the chance to meet her boyfriend every now and then.
In a few months, she became web writer, offering articles about her passions, such as travel, cooking, hobby&craft, modern society and religion; now she is going to follow the biennal path to become freelance journalist. She also proposed herself as freelance translator for online and offline publishing houses, travel agencies and private people.
In addition, she started to cooperate with a publishing house as sales agent for online courses about journalism, writing and translation and recently became scrapbooking consultant to teach other people her wonderful discovery to enhance the value of the personal memories.
She is almost everywhere on the web.
Desi defines herself a citizen of the world, her dream is to become travel writer and fiction writer, but she also desires to become mom of two or three children and have a wonderful family soon.

I just stumbled on your blog. I was lucky to live in Rome during my teenage years and have the most wonderful memories of that fabulous, crazy place. Since then, I have a bias towards your country and love everything Italy! Thanks for this blog - I look forward to reading your stories.

@ Kate: Hi, what a pleasure to have you here! You know what? A lot of people in Italy ask me if my name is an abbreviation of something else, because it’s very unusual for us, as it sounds like the English word “daisy”, but I always tell that “it’s just Desi” (glad to know that I reminded your cousin).
